The World Banknote Summit puts quality content at the core of the conference agenda.

The concept of inviting and involving relevant experts from outside the banknote community, valuing the importance of both their experience with banknotes, and their perspectives, was pioneered by the World Banknote Summit.

To develop an engaging conference agenda, the organizers interviewed Central Banks, State Printing Works and opinion leaders in the banknote community. The result is a well-balanced programme, with topics that make sense.

The World Banknote Summit revolves around two core themes:

• Issues that aim to make banknotes more secure and efficient in their production and circulation

• The future payment landscape, the drivers shaping the landscape, and the role of banknotes therein

By combining these core themes with the clever use of different presentation and discussion platforms, the World Banknote Summit provides an excellent opportunity to share experiences and learn from each other.

Immersion sessions: another innovation at the World Banknote Summit

The World Banknote Summit 2018 will feature another innovation offering its participants added value: immersion sessions.

Immersion sessions are moderated sessions lasting 75 mins and addressing specific topics. They are designed for small groups with the aim of fostering lively discussions and exchange between the 2 (max. 3) panellists and the audience.

To ensure maximum flexibility of choice, several immersion sessions will be hosted on multiple tracks, allowing delegates to choose their preferred topic of interest.

This year, the immersion sessions will focus on:

• Managing new banknote series projects
• Building and starting up a new banknote printing plant
• The potential of new technologies and alternative payment solutions

Social Programme

The World Banknote Summit is an excellent opportunity to refresh and expand one’s contact network. Coffee and lunch breaks are useful networking opportunities, but time flies and they always seem to be too short to catch up with everybody.  

In order to provide further networking opportunities to summit attendees, the Organisers take pleasure in inviting all delegates to dinner on Monday, 24 September and Tuesday, 25 September. Further details will be made available in due course.
